When you delete a unit, Bentley OpenUtilities Designer removes it from the Units folder and the Units Catalog. Designs containing a deleted unit are not affected because unit data is captured at the time it is assigned. Only users with administrative privileges can delete public units.

When you delete a macro unit, the compatible units and materials that formed the macro unit are not affected. When you delete a compatible unit, its materials are not affected. However, if you attempt to delete a material or compatible unit that is being used by a compatible unit or macro unit, Bentley OpenUtilities Designer displays an error message. To delete the component item (i.e., "referenced" item), you must first remove it from its associated unit.
